2013 In 2013 the WANTZ Committee proudly supported the following organizations: CHI.L.D. - The Association for Childhood Language and Related Disorders; and CHI.L.D. was established in 1976 to assist and support children and families affected by serious childhood language and related disorders. Its mission is to support these children and young people to achieve their educational and personal potential. A.E.I.O.U. is a not-for-profit charitable organisation, dedicated to providing a professional full-time early intervention educational program of the highest quality for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs). The first centre opened with 12 children in Moorooka in February 2005. Its mission is to provide a placement to every child with ASD, from the time of diagnosis, to facilitate their transition to mainstream education, and to continue to support the child and their family through the child's schooling years. AEIOU also aims to raise awareness and support of children with autism. AMOUNT RAISED: The WANTZ Committee was able to raise $161,324.00 to buy the much needed equipment on the WANTZ Wish List, none of which would have been possible without the generosity of all our sponsors, donors and guests.
