Dr. ANNE SPOONER

Dr. Anne Spooner is a general practitioner and graduate of the University of Queensland. She is an inaugural member of the WANTZ committee representing the letter "A" in the acronym "WANTZ".

Anne moved to Hong Kong in 1986 where she worked at the University of Hong Kong and then in private practice as principal of Dr. Anne Spooner and Associates, a multifaceted family and specialist medical practice. She returned to Brisbane in 1999 and has continued her work as general practitioner. She has also worked as tutor in the University of Qld Medical School's academic and clinical programs. Since her return, she has been involved in charitable work that includes Noah's Arc, the Foundation Board of St Aidans School, the WANTZ Committee and she was Qld Chair of the Australian Women of the Year Association in 2008.

Anne has 3 daughters and is involved in youth and womens advocacy and philanthropic programs.
